WELCOME OPPORTUNITY FOR NEW RESIDENTS

Division 5 currently enjoys one of the largest growth rates in the region as couples and families from around the country choose our townships as their new home.

The move can be quite daunting and especially so for those mature arrivals who are used to a completely different lifestyle, political systems, demographics, environment, etc, etc.

welcomeTo try and assist them acclimate to their new surroundings, I’m offering to meet with them on a casual face-to-face basis to not only welcome them, but to also answer any questions that they may have regarding local services and facilities and to generally make them “feel at home”. Rather than do this in a stuffy office environment, I’d prefer to choose one of our fantastic local cafes or restaurants for a chat over a cuppa (my shout).

So, if you’re new to the area and would like to have a casual chat with your local representative, please feel free to call me on 0488 539 123 or drop me an email at greg.barnes@bundaberg.qld.gov.au to arrange a time and place. Similarly, if you’re aware of a new arrival who you think might benefit from a chat with their Councillor then please pass on this offer to them.
