WEATHER ALERT – POSSIBLE SEVERE STORMS INLAND OF BUNDABERG

This afternoon, the State Disaster Coordination Centre and Bureau of Meteorology have advised that:

  • some severe thunderstorms are expected in the red area indicated in the map below, with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall likely;
  • severe activity is expected to be long lived enough to reach the coast north of Brisbane and south of Maryborough, including the Sunshine Coast.

There is some chance that parts of the Bundaberg Local Government Area (in particular, inland parts of this LGA) may experience severe storms; storms activity may also occur in coastal areas of the Bundaberg LGA.

Further advice and updated warnings is available from: http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/warnings/
