UPDATE – BARGARA CBD FORESHORE PARKLAND WORKS

The timber decking of the CBD foreshore has now been replaced and treated against the elements as previously advised. Apologies for any inconvenience during this work which saw the area barricaded off for several weeks.

The Turtle Playground is currently fenced off as the rubber soft-fall matting is due to be replaced again (this time under warranty and at no cost to ratepayers) after the product failed to meet standards since it was replaced several months ago.

The work was supposed to commence this week but has been delayed until next week but in the meantime Council staff will take the opportunity to apply some paint to the various structures that make up the playground and re-fit some of the items which had been taken away for a touch of TLC.

Again, apologies for any inconvenience however the salt air environment takes its toll and we want the area to look its best as we approach the warmer months and holiday season.
