Council is offering subsidised microchipping for cats and dogs in partnership with National Pet Register at information days this weekend at Jay Teens Park, Bargara (near the Nielson Park skate bowl) on Saturday and Alexandra Park, Bundaberg West on Sunday. If you didn’t previously book to receive the $15 discounted microchipping you can still bring your pets along and receive discounted microchipping for $20 per pet.
Many pet owners would understand the trauma of losing their favourite pet and not knowing where it is or what’s happened to it. Microchipping is by far the most effective way to alleviate that angst and this opportunity, held in conjunction with the National Pet Register, is your chance to permanantly have you pet identifiable. I’ve personally lost one of my former dogs which was found, taken to a vet, identified, and returned within a couple of hours.
A number of ancilliary stalls including the RSPCA & Red Collar Rescue will be operating from the sites and yours truly will be cooking up a free sausage sizzle from 9.00am at the Nielson Park event.
If you need further details, please give me a call on 0488 539 123.
Hope to see you there.
