Over several years we’ve managed to form a strong bond with the crew and owners of ‘Snifter’, the P-51D Mustang Fighter that graces our skies every ANZAC Day to provide an aerial salute for regional commemoration services.
I’m please to advise that I’ve just finalised the charter of this magnificent aircraft for the upcoming 2016 events with sponsorship being provided by the Bundaberg Regional Council as it has done since the 2008 local government amalgamations.
I understand that pilots Mark Hall and Brian Stephens will once again allocate time away from their duties with Cathay Pacific to fly the aircraft which will be arriving at the Bundy airport around midday on 24th April.

I’ve also confirmed that former RAF Fighter Pilot and Bargara local, Ian Rowan (in the photo with Mark, Brian and myself) will be returning to coordinate the Bargara fly-pass and hopefully we’ll be able to hook up a direct broadcast between the crew and the crowd over the PA system as we did last year.
