SERVICES OFFERED AT NORTH BUNDABERG POST OFFICE

Bundaberg Australia Post Manager Peter Collins has advised flood affected residents of North Bundaberg that emergency mail distribution processes are in place from the North Bundaberg Post Office.

Mr. Collins said the Post Office at North Bundaberg had recorded about 600mm of water through the facility.

He said that with the cleanup progressing on schedule it was anticipated that a restricted postal service will be offered with post boxes at the North Bundaberg Post Office available from next week.

“We have instructed our postal delivery personnel to deliver mail to anyone they can.”

Mr. Collins said Australia Post was sympathetic to the disruption caused to people’s lives by the flooding and consequently Australia Post was offering a free mail redirection service to flood affected customers.

“While we would appreciate people having redirection advice in place as soon as possible we understand that some people may take some time in achieving this. Their mail can be held at the Post Office until we are advised,” he said.
