SAFE FOOD HANDLING COURSES AVAILABLE

Many fundraising activities involving BBQs, Sausage Sizzles and the like tend to slow down over the cooler months providing an ideal time for members of not-for-profit organisations to consider best practices by taking part in a brief Safe Food Handling Course provided by the Council.

These courses are absolutely free, take about an hour and a half to complete and can be provided specially for groups of 15 or more people from any number of organisations or clubs. They also provide a degree of ‘peace of mind’ for the management committees of these organisation by being able to prevent food-related illnesses or liability claims whilst at the same time demonstrating their organisation’s commitment to professionalism and community well-being.

I’m looking for expressions of interest from various clubs/organisations who have one or more members who would like to take part in a course on a date to be set at the Bargara Cultural Centre.

If anyone’s interested, please drop me a line at greg.barnes@bundaberg.qld.gov.au or call me on 0488 539 123.
