ROAD REPORT (8.00am 28/3/14)

Apart from Wessell’s Road, all roads within Division 5 are open.

Wessell’s Road has swift running water over it and is not passable – please do not attempt it even in a 4X4.

Money’s Creek Causeway has about 800mm of freeboard on the southern end of the upper lagoon

Hughes Road has a few millimetres of water running over it

Seaview Road (near Wessell’s Road) has about 25mm over the eastern alignment but a lot more on the western alignment which effectively reduces it to a single lane. Passable but please exercise caution and commonsense

Back Windermere Road Gully (south of Poinciana Drive) has about 600mm freeboard

Beach Milieu – both Atlantis Boulevard & Aquarius Drive are fine

Conditions are easing however downstream water is likely to accumulate from the upper catchment and water heights may still increase.

The main threat would be from motorist who don’t exercise caution and drive to the conditions with aqua-planing a real possibility for drivers who don’t slow down.
