HAVE YOUR SAY – PUBLIC CONSULTATION SET TO COMMENCE FOR DRAFT NIELSON PARK MANAGEMENT PLAN

An advertisement will appear in tomorrow’s News-Mail notifying that the public consultation period for the review of the Draft Nielson Park Land Use Management Plan will commence this Monday 5th November and close on Monday 17th December.

It’s important that anyone wishing to lodge a submission to support or oppose the Draft Plan or to voice their opinion on the proposed foreshore markets, do so within this six week period.

Information on the review together with detailed maps of the subject area can be viewed on Council’s website here: http://bundaberg.qld.gov.au/feature/nielson-park-reserve-management-plan

Council is also conducting an online survey which can be filled out and lodged here: http://bundaberg.qld.gov.au/nielson-park_survey

There has been a lot of controversy regarding the proposal to establish foreshore markets in this area and now’s the time for anyone with an opinion on the matter (for or against) to have their say.
