PROGRESS REPORT – DAVIDSON STREET CULVERTS INSTALLED

The new box culverts under Davidson Street were installed today as part of the Beach Milieu drainage upgrade.

Two separated but parrallel rows of formed concrete culverts have been installed on top of a base concrete slab with the gap in between being capped with additional slabs to effectively form a centre culvert. Please see the photo below which was taken this morning.

Davidson Street will remain closed until early October (depending on weather impacts) and in the interim period, the pedestrian thoroughfare will remain open and the traffic diversions in place.

Motorists have been extremely tolerant during these important works and Council is grateful for their patience.
