Forget parking woes, jump on the Childers Festival express!
Council’s Community Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said once again Bundaberg Regional Council would offer a bus service to and from Bundaberg and Bargara for the convenience of festival attendees.
“On Festival Day, Sunday, July 28, there will be three buses leaving Bundaberg from different locations,” Cr Peters said.
“We hope this will not only ease parking worries for those travelling to Childers by car, but allow people to get there who would otherwise be unable to attend.”
The cost for the return trip will be $15 for adults and pensioners and $8 for children aged 2 to 12.
Buses will leave from:-
-
Bundaberg Post Office (Bus Stop between Post Office & BRAG on Barolin Street) at 8am
-
Sugarland – leaves from Takalvan Street (outside Sugarland Shoppingtown) at 8am
-
Bargara – leaves from Council’s Bargara Service Centre, Hughes Road, at 7.45am
All buses will leave Childers for the return trip to Bundaberg at 3.30pm.
