Media Release – SHARE IN ONE OF REGIONAL QUEENSLAND’S BIGGEST EVENTS

The popular Childers Festival is gearing up to mark its 20 year anniversary and we’re calling on entertainers, stallholders and businesses to take part.

Council’s Community Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said with the Childers Festival attracting 40,000 people annually, it was an opportunity to share in one of regional Queensland’s largest events. “The Childers Festival never fails to attract huge crowds each year as people from across the state gather to celebrate multicultural entertainment and cuisine in this beautiful heritage location,” Cr Peters said.

“Whether you’re a stallholder, performer or a business in a position to partner with Council to deliver the festival, it’s a fantastic opportunity to expose your brand to the tens of thousands of visitors attending.”

Stallholder and performer expressions of interest are now open and will close on March 31. Apply at www.childersfestival.com.au or call 1300 883 699.

A variety of partnership packages have been designed to suit the needs of various businesses and are open until May 30. For more information head to www.childersfestival.com.au or call 1300 883 699.

The 2015 Childers Festival kicks off in the afternoon on Saturday, July 25 with the main day of the festival being held on Sunday, July 26 where there will be five stages of multicultural entertainment and hundreds of stalls and cuisine from all parts of the globe.
