Rate notices for the half year ending June 2015, will be arriving in letterboxes from today, Monday, February 9 and will be due for payment by Friday, March 13, 2015.
Notices paid in full by March 13 will attract a ten per cent discount on general rates, less Council’s pension rebate.
Unpaid rates still outstanding after March 13 will be charged 11 per cent interest until paid.
Anyone experiencing difficulty in paying their rates is encouraged to contact Council’s Revenue Department to discuss repayment options before the due date of March 13 but ratepayers are welcome to contact us at any time to discuss payment arrangements.
A number of payment options exist including direct debit, BPay, Internet Banking, payment at any Australia Post or BPoint outlet and by phone or mail. In addition, ratepayers can now pay their rates using their smart phone, as detailed on the back of their Rate Notice, by downloading the Australia Post ‘Scan and Pay’ App.
Residents can also pay in person at their nearest Council Office being 190 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg; 169 Hughes Road, Bargara; 45 Churchill Street, Childers and 4 Dear Street, Gin Gin.
