Media Release – INTERSECTION UPGRADE – WINDERMERE & SEAVIEW ROADS

Bundaberg Regional Council is preparing to commence an $800,000 upgrade of the intersection of Windermere Road and Seaview Road at Bargara

The intention of the upgrade is improve safety by increasing the visibility along Windermere Road by removing the crest on the western approach to the intersection and providing designated turning lanes into Seaview Road. In mid 2014, Council proposes to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Windermere Road/Rifle Range Road to further enhance traffic safety.

Windermere & Seaview Road Intersection To Be Upgrade

 

Work on this Windermere Road/Seaview Road project is expected to commence in the week starting the 9 September and take approximately 16 weeks to complete. During this time roads will remain open but will be under traffic control measures. Motorist need to be aware of these changed traffic conditions and to expect some delays when travelling through the site.

Council is aware of the inconvenience that these works will cause and will undertake this work as quickly as practicable.
