Businesses and not-for-profit organisations throughout the region are being encouraged to participate in the Bundaberg Digital Enterprise Program.
Set to run over the next 18 months, the program consists of group workshops and one-on-one consultation to help participants improve their digital engagement.
Economic Development portfolio spokesperson Cr Greg Barnes said the workshops, funded by the Australian Government and facilitated by Gravelroad, would provide a valuable opportunity for businesses and organisations to learn about the advantages of online engagement and technology adoption.
“The program will assist businesses and organisations in a variety of topics including an introduction to the digital marketplace, online presence, cloud applications and online security,” Cr Barnes said.
“I would encourage anyone who is eligible to attend a workshop and take advantage of the ever increasing opportunities for businesses and organisations made available through technology.”
He said the workshops would teach attendees how technology and access to high speed broadband could improve their online presence, offer new products and services, expand their market, improve their competitiveness, and increase their means of communicating with customers and suppliers.
“After taking part in at least one group workshop participants will be eligible for four hours of free one-on-one consultation,” Cr Barnes said.
The first workshop will be held at the Bundaberg Businesses Enterprise Centre on November 11 from 3.30-6.30pm. Bookings are essential and seating is limited. Confirm your attendance by emailing digitalenterprise@bundaberg.qld.gov.au or by calling 1300883699.
