The Queensland Local Government Remuneration and Discipline Tribunal has handed down its 2015 Annual Report in which it has granted a 2% increase of the annual remuneration paid to Mayors, Deputy Mayors and Councillors which will be effective from 1st July 2016.
The report (which can be accessed through the above link) details the methodology used to determine the increase which will apply to all elected Local Government representatives across the State. It also discloses representations made to the Tribunal together with details of complaints and any disciplinary action taken.
For the Bundaberg Regional Council this will mean the following increases in remunerations:
Mayor From $142,769 to $145,624 – an increase of $2,855
Deputy Mayor From $ 93,927 to $ 95,806 – an increase of $1,897
Councillor From $ 82,655 to $ 84,308 – an increase of $1,653
