The Local Disaster Management Group has released the following information concerning residents of the identified EXCLUSION ZONE in North Bundaberg.
The LDMG anticipates further work will be required in sections of the exclusion zone to ensure that safety of residents wishing to return to the area is not compromised.
All agencies associated with inspections within the exclusion zone have identified major infrastructure failings. These include no water; no sewerage and no power.
These agencies are working hard to ensure the exclusion zone is cleared and secured for the imminent re-entry of property owners and residents.
It has been determined that certain areas within the exclusion zone will be ready for the safe return of property owners and residents in a short period of time.
The LDMG advises that meetings with property owners and residents ONLY from the exclusion zone area will be held at the following venues and times:
Moncrieff Entertainment Centre – Tomorrow, Friday at 10am
North High School Hall – Tomorrow, Friday at 11am
EXCLUSION ZONE AREA
All residential and business areas of North Bundaberg bounded by the Burnett River, the link round access from Queen Street to North State School, Mariners Way to the East and Tallon Street/Parkview Terrace to the West comprise the exclusion zone.
