INNES PARK & CORAL COVE FACEBOOK PAGE ESTABLISHED

Over the past couple of years I’ve recieved tremendous feedback through the ‘Bargara Facebookers’ group which has provided a more personal and effective interface with the community which has enabled me to:

  • respond to ratepayer concerns in a more timely and efficient manner
  • provide up-to-date information on local issues
  • provide status reports on emergency situations
  • quash or confirm circulating rumours
  • generally improve the level of communication between the local community and my roles as a Divisional Councillor and Portfolio Spokesperson
  • express my personal point of view on Council and other issues which may or may not conform with official stances

It’s been difficult to receive that higher level of interaction from the the other divisional townships of Innes Park and Coral Cove due to the absence of a CBD District/Social Hub and the limited membership of respective community organisations and internet/facebook sites.

I’ve now created the ‘Innes Park & Coral Cove Facebookers’ page in the hope that it can promote more local debate and feedback. If you or an acquaintance have an interest in those local events/discussions, please feel free to join the group which can be accessed through the above link.
