HERE’S YOUR CHANCE FOR A SAY ON OUR REGION’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & JOB CREATION

One of the major issues that gets raised with elected representatives at all levels of government is the need to progress economic development and specifically the attraction of businesses and industry to the region and the creation of job opportunities for both the skilled and unskilled workforce.

To be perfectly honest, one of the most frustrating issues that many of us confront is the apparent lack of motivation by local stakeholders to be a part of the actual solution with a somewhat mythical view that someone else will always sort it out. The fact remains that the magnitude of the problem really does require a collaborative approach with everyone providing some level of input if we’re truly expecting a worthwhile outcome.

Commencing at 9.30am on Thursday 9th October the Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee (REDAC) will be holding a FREE Regional Economic Development Forum at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough.

If you’re a…..

  • small, medium or large business operator,
  • potential investor,
  • tourism operator,
  • potential tenderer for government contracts, or
  • simply someone who is genuinely concerned about the plans to move the region forward,

…..then you really need to try to attend.

I have three spare seats in my car leaving Bargara at 8.00am (Thursday 9th October) for anyone who wants a lift and a collective 2-3 hours opportunity for a chat on the way to and from the event.
