Please also remember that there is a huge amount of asbestos lying around and the health risks associated with breathing in dust particles are very real. I’ve been advised that the most effective means of neutralising that risk is to wet the asbestos, double bag it, clearly label it and only handle it wearing gloves and a KN95 Protective Face Mask.
Another danger that many wouldn’t be aware of is the risk of electrocution from solar panel systems even if the mains power to a property is turned off. Please do not enter any property unless it has been tagged by a qualified electrician as safe to do so.
This type of work can also be emotionally draining and my advice is to take a break when your body tells you to do so, drink plenty of water and don’t exceed you physical or emotional capabilities.
