FLOODING UPDATES

I’ve been asked if I could provide updates on the flood situation on this site however as the immediate danger to coastal residents following the tornado has passed and the clean-up is well underway, I’m going to refrain from doing so unless it’s something urgent and of specific importance to coastal communities – ie an impending water or sewerage issue, general advices, etc.

Information and emergency advices regarding the floods or related issues are very ever-changing and extremely complex and need to be addressed through the emergency services websites/hotlines. There has been far too much happening for me to confidently try and keep everyone updated with the latest situation reports through this site and the last thing that I want to do is provide inaccurate or outdated information at such a critical time.

However, If you’re having trouble getting through on the publicised phone lines and if you think that I may be able to help, please feel free to call me on either 0488 539 123 or 0407 155 727 and I’ll do my best.

In the meantime, here are a few contact numbers which may be of assistance:-

SES – 132500

Insurance Council of Australia (Wide Bay) – 1800 734 621

Recovery Centre – TAFE theatre, Faldt St. (Contact is Rebecca) – 0419 471 692
