FLAGS TO FLY AT HALF MAST TOMORROW – NELSON MANDELA

I’ve received advice from the Commonwealth Flag Network that National Flags will fly at half mast tomorrow to regognise and commemorate the passing of Nelson Mandela.

Due to the high esteem in which Mr. Mandela was held throughout the world and the fact that many South Africans now reside in Bargara and the wider Bundaberg region, I’ve asked that the temporary flag pole be erected in the Bargara Foreshore Park (near the main groyne wall) so that the flag can be flown as a sign of community respect.
