Council is currently trialing a new interactive mapping service which has now been made available to the public on its website. At the moment it’s been uploaded in the Beta Format until the trial ends.
The service provides a wide range of information including:
- detailed aerial photography with rapid uploading times
- an assortment of maps, views, aerial photography, 2013 flood imagery, cadastre, etc
- detailed locations of infrastructure such as sewer mains, water mains, stormwater drainage, etc
- Contours
- Town Planning Zones
- Allotment details including lot numbers, survey plans, lot sizes, street numbers, etc
- Waste Management details
- & much more –
To view the site:

- scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Dekho 4.0.5 (Beta version)‘
- Click the box that says ‘I have read the terms and agree’
- When the page opens, click on the ‘Legend‘ icon in the top left hand corner
- Open the various drop-down navigation lists until you find what you’re looking for – (HINT – opening the ‘Public’ list provides access to most other links)
- Experiment with the various lists to familiarise yourself with the extent of information which is now publicly available. Layers can be turned on and off at the touch of a button.
