CLEANING YOUR FLOOD DAMAGED HOME

Council has released the following advice…..

Bundaberg Regional Council has advised that it is receiving numerous requests for the supply of emergency cleaning products.

Unfortunately demand is far outstripping Council’s ability to accommodate these requests.

Cleaning chemicals, most notably chlorine (household bleach) and vinegar are in demand. Council advises that these items are available through local supermarket suppliers with fresh supplies arriving daily.

The attached fact sheet provides recommended guidelines regarding the use of bleach and chlorine based liquids for cleaning and sanitation purposes. Please note that bleach should not be diluted with hot water.

Enquiries can be directed to Council’s Environment & Public Health Services on 1300 883 699.
