I have been informed this morning that the proposed final sealing of Bargara Road will not be occurring next week as the Department of Transport & Main Roads have decided to lay a ‘fabric seal’ first to ensure that the the work is carried out to the best possible standard.
A fabric seal is basically a coating which acts as a waterproofing membrane which in turn provides for a better and longer lasting job.
The fabric seal will be laid next week and the final asphalt seal is scheduled for early April.
