There has been a fair bit of activity around the Bargara Lakes entrance with more scheduled in the near future including some repairs to the entrance pavement and other roads within the area.
Bargara Lakes Entrance Pavement
I’m pleased to advise that the restoration works to dig up the failed pavers at the entrance to Bargara Lakes are due to begin mid-August.
The work will finally see the broken pavers removed and replaced with asphalt with the work estimated to take about 6 weeks, weather permitting.
During the works, one side of the entrance at a time will be closed to traffic however the significant width of each side will enable this to take place with minimal disruption to motorists.
Bargara Lakes Entrance Drainage Issues Resolved
On historic issues of flooding on the southern alignment of the Bargara Lakes Entrance how now been resolved with extensive drainage infrastructure installed behind properties facing Woongarra Scenic Drive and Coral Court.
The concrete spoon drain, inlet pits and new pipes will now discharge pooling water under Bargara Lakes Drive and into the lake.
The section of road surface where the underground pipes traverse the roadway are currently in a bit of amess but will be remedied when the entrance pavement (as outlined in the article above) takes place.
Bargara Lakes Kerbside & Gutter Issues
During today’s inspection of Bargara Lakes I noted a few sections of roadway where the kerbside road surface and gutters have failed and in need of repair.
These include some short sections of Coral Court, Bargara Lakes Drive & Cascade Parade.
I’ve submitted a request for these jobs to be placed on the list for repair. The relevant request number to quote with any inquiry is 248779/2013.
