DRAINAGE
The long-standing drainage issue on the southern alignment of the Bargara Lakes Drive entrance is currently being resolved with Council’s crew and machinery on-site with work progressing well.
The flooding that occurs in this area has been a headache for property owners in the immediate vicinity and especially for those in Coral Court who back onto the entrance road. All things being well, the current works should finally resolve those issues once and for all.
ROAD PAVEMENT RE-SURFACING
The damaged pavers on the entrance road will be removed and replaced with an asphalt surface under an agreement which was recently signed off between the developer and Council.
The tender for the work is due to close on 31st May and it’s anticipated that the work will commence shortly thereafter with a completion date of around October/November.
There’s bound to be some disruption to traffic however the wide nature of the divided entranceway should make it minimal. Public notification of the works will ensure that local residents are kept up to date with any developments.
