The ongoing saga of drainage issues on the southern alignment of the entrance to Bargara Lakes Drive is set to be resolved when a Council crew begins remedial work next week.
The issue involves a significant area of low land which creates flooding to one property on the intersection with Woongarra Scenic Drive and other Coral Court properties which back onto the land whenever we receive a heavy downpour.
The upcoming works will result in the ponding water being diverted into Bargara Lake for eventual discharge via the culverts under Woongarra Scenic Drive.
The recent aquisition of the land by Council was part of an agreement with the former owner to resolve the re-surfacing of the Bargara Lakes entrance statement which itself is due for completion by the end of December.
