BARGARA CBD PARKING OPTIONS

Council has distributed letters to Bargara businesses seeking their feedback on proposed options for 2 hour parking restrictions on See Street.

The proposal is in response to a request by the Coral Coast Chamber of Commerce & Tourism which has received complaints from member businesses alleging that their trading ability was being hampered by staff from other businesses who parked their personal vehicles in See Street for prolonged periods.

The Council survey is focussing on local businesses however I’d also like to receive additional feedback from residents who access the CBD. Please note that this is not an official Council survey.

Last year I conducted my own audit of Bargara CBD car parking spaces which can be viewed here for background purposes.

Council has now presented two options for consideration by local business operators which can be viewed by clicking on these links:

If you use the CBD and wish to provide some feedback please email me at greg.barnes@bundaberg.qld.gov.au or give me a call on 0488 539 123. Alternatively, I’ll have copies of the options available for scrutiny at my Community Consultation Desk outside Café Caprice tomorrow morning (Saturday) between 10.00am & 1.00pm.

Again, please note that this is not an official Council survey.
