APPLICATION SUBMITTED FOR 30M TELECOMMUNICATIONS MONOPOLE – (GOLF COURSE NEAR HOWARD STREET)

Council is in receipt of an impact assessable Material Change of Use Development Application on behalf of Vodaphone which seeks an approval to erect a 30m telecommunications monopole and equipment shelter in the north-western area of the Bargara Golf Course on land described as Lot 19 on SP193011, Bauer Street, Bargara.

Alternative sites at

  • Hughes Road Council Administration Centre
  • Carlyle Gardens Retirement Village
  •  Kelly’s Beach Resort; and
  • The Point Apartments

were rejected in favour of the preferred site which is the subject of the application. Reasons for the decision are outlined in Table 1 on pages 8 & 9 of the application’s report.
