APPLICATION LODGED FOR HEALTH CARE FACILITY ON BARGARA ROAD NEAR HUGHES ROAD

Council has received a Development Application to establish a Health Care Facility, associated Dispensary and Dwelling House on a block of land on the northern alignment of Bargara Road (No. 611), Bargara just west of the Hughes Road intersection.

The allotment stands alone and is surrounded by land owned by the State Government and earmarked for a future High School.

DA - Bargara Road Doctor's Surgery Concept

The proposal involves the following elements—

  • a general medical and skin clinic practice for four Specialist GPs plus training registrars;
  • the training of registrars, medical, nursing and other allied health students;
  • a dispensary for supplying pharmaceutical and related products;
  • space for complementary medical, health or wellbeing practitioners such as Physiotherapist, Podiatrist, and pathology collection centre;
  • residential accommodation for one or two interns and visiting specialists—although this is not part of the application as Dwelling house is not assessable development.
